As I mentioned already, my mother-in-law created this recipe. Of course, I tend to be a lazy cook, but I did make a few changes. Nothing massive, just a few changes.
Unlike a lot of mother-in-laws, mine doesn't ride a broom, lol. This recipe never lasts long in my frig. My youngest son will probably have it wiped out and I would be surprised if there are any leftovers to shove in the frig.
1 Pound of Italian Sausage (hot or mild)
1 - 2 cans of beans (Your favorites)
4 Cups of Beef Broth
1 Can of stewed tomatoes
1 Cup of small pasta (I use ditalini a lot)
1 pinch of red peppers (optional)

Here, I've taken mild Italian sausage and started browning it. If you want, you can use hot Italian sausage. This is normally just 1 pound. However, it's very easy to double or triple the recipe.

After the sausage was finished browning, I took a can of kidney beans, rinsed them, and added them to the pot.

I normally like to put in kidney beans and some northern beans, but I only had black-eyed peas, so why not? They were rinsed and put within the box with the sausage and beans.

Next, I poured in four cups of beef broth. That is how much there is in one of those broth cartons. If you're not fond of just beef broth, mix it with chicken to soften the flavor a little.

Next, dump in a can of stewed tomatoes. This is my favorite brand of Safeway stewed tomatoes, specifically used in salsa.

Cook on medium heat for approximately 20 - 30 minutes. You want all of those wonderful flavors to meld together.

Although it's not entirely clear here, but I took a pinch of red pepper and threw it in the pot.

I added one cup of ditalini noodles. You don't have to use that type; I highly recommend using a small-shaped pasta. This particular noodle only takes 10 minutes and your soup is done.

Yummy
